Refund Policy

Last updated: July 2026. How the free trial, cancellation and refunds work — including your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

The short version

Every subscription starts with a 3-day free trial, so you can see exactly what you are paying for before any money moves. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged. If you have been charged and you are within 14 days, you can cancel and get your money back as set out below.

Your 14-day right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 14 days from the start of your subscription to change your mind and cancel, without giving a reason.

Because Macro Mastery is a service you start using immediately, we are entitled to deduct a proportionate amount for the period you had access before cancelling. In practice, for a subscription cancelled within 14 days, we refund in full unless there has been substantial use.

After 14 days

Subscriptions renew automatically. After the 14-day period we do not generally refund a period already begun. You can cancel at any time to stop future payments, and you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

We will always consider a refund where:

That last one is not a legal obligation. We would rather refund an unused year than keep money from someone who did not mean to spend it.

How to cancel

Sign in and click Billing in the header. That opens Stripe's billing portal, where you can cancel in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current period, so you do not lose access immediately.

If you cannot get into your account, email us and we will cancel it for you.

How to request a refund

Email macromastery@outlook.com from the address on your account, telling us roughly when you subscribed. You do not need to give a reason for a cancellation within 14 days.

We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries over a few days. If it keeps failing, your subscription lapses and you return to the free tier. Your data is not deleted — saved plans and cooking history are still there if you resubscribe.

If we get it wrong

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a refund, reply and say so, and a person will look at it again. You can also raise a dispute with your bank or card provider, and you may be able to contact Citizens Advice for guidance on your consumer rights.
